FROM M4

After crossing the Severn Bridge, exit the Motorway at junction 24 - the Newport turning - and take the A449 signposted towards Monmouth.

Continue on this dual carriageway until you come to a sign for the A40 towards Abergavenney. Take this exit and continue on the A40 to a large roundabout on the outskirts of Abergavenney. From here follow the signs for Brecon, still on the A40.

Approximately 9 miles after passing through the small town of Crickhowell, you will come to a turning on the right for the A479, signposted to Builth Wells. Take this turning and continue on this mountain road to the village of Talgarth.

  • At Talgarth, bear right over a stone bridge into the main square and continue straight ahead to the T-junction at the end of the village. Turn right here towards Hay-on-Wye and then right again, signposted to Felindre.

  • Continue along this narrow country lane to the village of Felindre, passing the Three Horseshoes pub on your right and then a telephone box and the village hall on your left.

  • From Felindre, take the Hay on Wye road for approximately 1/2 a mile.

  • Take the first right at the Newcourt Farm sign.

  • Follow the road uphill for just over 1 mile.

  • On the right you will see a sign for Maes y lade on the right.

  • Go through the gate and follow the lane down the hill to the Centre.
