COURSES FOR FURTHER EDUCATION!

Our courses use high impact activities to support the aims of your specific group. Courses are designed to complement or even be an integral part of your syllabus or project.

Potential learning outcomes from our courses include increased confidence, co-operation & interdependence, self-reliance and tolerance. These are achieved through careful structuring of activity sessions coupled with intense and thorough reviews.

Course content is designed around your aims so as to achieve the maximum level of success. These are just some of the options available to you.

CAVING Using the limestone caves of South Wales, we provide our groups with exciting opportunities for discovery and exploration. Caving is suitable for people of all abilities, and provides enormous opportunities for leading and being led, important components of many NVQ courses.
	CANOEING & KAYAKING You can elect to use Open Canoes or Kayaks depending on the aims of your course. Both can be tailored to suit your needs, whether this is a half day trip on the peaceful canal, a journey by open canoe on the River Wye, or a gripping White Water experience on the or River Usk
CLIMBING & ABSEILING Climbing can be adapted to suit the abilities of all groups through careful consideration to venue by our staff. On an individual level, climbing involves the meeting of challenge, and on a team level, working together to ensure safety. We can also use a nearby Rope Centre, which is not only a large indoor climbing Wall specifically designed for groups, but also has rope bridges, an abseil wall and a zip wire!
	MOUNTAIN WALKING The experience of climbing a mountain cannot easily be put into words, but exhilaration, elation, achievement and satisfaction all go some way to describing the feelings gained from a mountain experience. We can also offer camping & expeditions at various levels including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
MOUNTAIN BIKING The exact route and length of ride will be tailored to suit your groups needs, abilities and prior experience to ensure the best experience is had by all. Mountain biking is about challenge, determination, exhilaration, and of course MUD! Using local hills, tracks or the Black Mountains.
	OTHER PROGRAMMES We can provide a wide range of team building & leadership activities ranging from simple hour-long problem solving tasks to multiple day leadership exercises. We can also provide many tasks and activities for evening sessions. Contact the Centre for further details.

· Next, complete the booking form with as much detail as possible,
· Return the completed form to Maes y lade with your deposit!
